Welcome to our website where you can have your say in the discussion around ideas for Jean Stokes Community Centre and West Library.

We would like to discuss our early ideas for improving the Jean Stokes Community Centre with you and to let you know more about our plans to create a new employment hub for young people in an unused first floor room at West Library.

We want to ensure that these exciting new projects reflect the needs and hopes of local people and would like to involve as many of you as possible.

Local residents have already been involved in helping to recruit the architects, Public Works Group, who will be taking the community centre and West Library employment hub projects forward with us. We are also meeting with and hearing from current users of the space and their input will be central to the plans we make.

The Jean Stokes Community Centre improvements
and creating a new employment hub for young people in an unused first floor room at West Library are part of Islington Council’s ‘We are Cally’.

We are Cally is our exciting project, working with local people and organisations, to create new opportunities, to improve local facilities and shape a brighter future for the Cally.

The council wants to build on the great work that is already going on in the Cally and to make an even bigger difference to the lives of local people.

We are looking forward to working with you to shape our ideas and to make sure we are focussing on the things you would most like to see.
